Pressure Washing in Alexandria, VA

Exterior cleaning needs vary just as widely, from older brick and courtyard patios to newer townhomes, single-family siding and HOA communities. NovaBlastWash serves all of them.

Cleaning in Alexandria

Older brick and masonry

Older brick and soft lime mortar can be damaged by high pressure, so they call for a gentle approach. Alexandria's historic districts have their own guidelines for exterior work, and abrasive cleaning methods are generally discouraged on historic masonry. Routine gentle washing is different from restoration work — for anything beyond that, check with the city's historic preservation staff first.

Courtyards and brick patios

Townhouse courtyards and brick or flagstone patios stay shaded and damp, so moss and algae build up between joints. If a courtyard can only be reached through the house, note it in your request — someone may need to be home for that part of the job.

Humidity near the river

Neighborhoods near the Potomac and along the wooded Mount Vernon corridor see plenty of humidity and shade. Mildew on siding, fences and decks is common, especially on north-facing surfaces.
